Welcome to Live Scandinavia!
This is a blog dedicated to everything related to the five magical countries freezing up in the Northern parts of Europe: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. The countries best known under the generic term of “Scandinavia”.
The blog is now maintained by yours truly, Arlen Tanner. I am a 20-something (soon 30-something) geek turned blogger and location independent activist. I left the traditional corporate world and the regular 9-5 job I had in the US back in 2012 and jumped head first into the adventure of my lifetime.
After starting out in SE Asia (like everybody HAS to do), I switched gears and focus to Eastern Europe, spending three years around Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Croatia.
But eventually I settled (at least for now) in Scandinavia, changing location constantly, but mostly between Denmark and Sweden. I’ve been in the area since 2016 and even though friends and family consider me crazy for loving the cold weather… I always tell them that Scandinavia is much more than that.
And that’s exactly what you’re going to find in this blog: from your regular travel tips and tricks, to hotel recommendation and itineraries, to personal advice on how to meet beautiful Scandinavian girls and make them yours (before they make you theirs – it happens!)
And hopefully with my help, you will learn that there’s much more to Scandinavia than high cost of living, cloudy days and extremely cold Winters. Or Summers. Because, yes, it’s pretty cold all year-long.
